What We Do

Fast fueling started over 60 years ago as Wiggins began making products for the military. That development transitioned the product into a public sector where trucks (and fuel tanks) were getting bigger and taking longer to fill. However, with little competition in the market, innovation was stagnant. Customers had grown accustomed to leaky nozzles and receivers, leaving pools of diesel surrounding the fuel islands.

FloMax immediately saw the opportunity to design and fabricate higher quality, fully engineered products. Using better designs, methods, and materials, Flomax nozzles and receivers outlast the competition while still being able to interface with the existing wiggins set up.

Wiggins as a Name
These days, many refer to fast fueling products simply as a “wiggins,” similar to how a photocopy is often called a “xerox” and we know small plastic bandages as “band-aids.” However, just because the brand name is known, it doesn’t mean that they require the specific brand. In fact, FloMax products interface 100% with wiggins, keeping switching costs down for customers needing a better solution.

A recent conversation with a customer highlighted this perfectly when they said, “This wiggins is much better than the last one I had!” We replied, “That’s because this one is a FloMax.”
